About the Montessori School of Cambridge

The Montessori School of Cambridge provides excellent early childhood learning programs with longer hours of care. The value we offer for the cost is unsurpassed. Your child can enter our school as early as 18 months of age and remain until he or she is ready to enter Grade One.

Children thrive in the stimulating environment, secure in the consistency of approach and continuity of care. (It’s good for parents, too!) The Montessori School of Cambridge is a not-for-profit charitable organization which was established in 1972. Offering 5-day per week, 10 months per year programs from Toddler (18 months to 3 year), Preschool, Junior and Senior Kindergarten (ages 2-1/2 to 6) we strive to balance the needs of families and their children by offering various programming options, including a Summer Session in July for children 18 months to 6.

JK and SK are OPTIONAL in the public school system. Take time to consider your choices. See “MSC for JK/SK” and our Comparison Chart for more information, or find out a few of the reasons that MSC is the best start.

Why is MSC not-for-profit?

First of all, not all Montessori schools are not-for-profit.  The Montessori School of Cambridge, a not-for-profit charitable organization since 1972, has focussed on providing the very best quality of care for the child by putting dollars back into the classroom.  A visit to our school and a tour of our classrooms is living proof that money is invested where it counts – quality learning materials, resources and equipment for the children.  The teachers and volunteer parent board work to develop programs with the best interests of the child in mind.
